FE Modelling
The group is able to call upon expertise in finite element (FE) modelling. In particular there has been considerable ongoing progress in the modelling of revision hip arthroplasty, including the constitutive modelling of morsellised cortico-cancellous bone graft, and the development of a complete pelvis model. The group has aquired a dual processor Xeon workstation in order to allow these complex analyses to be carried out. The group is also able to call on the considerable expertise and resources available within the School of Engineering and Electronics within the University of Edinburgh.
